Andrea
earned a B.A. in Music from Stanford University, and then went on to receive a
dual Master's Degree in Violin Performance and Suzuki Pedagogy from the Cleveland Institute
of Music in 1993, studying with
David Cerone, Michelle Higa-George and Teri Einfeldt. Andrea has
taught Suzuki violin with several programs around the country, including the
Suzuki Strings of Madison and the All-Newton Music School, where she
conducted the orchestra program. She has a passion for chamber music
ever since forming her first string quartet in junior high school, and has
coached ensembles for the past 16 years. Andrea was a Suzuki kid
herself, and now is the proud parent of two Suzuki kids of her own, her
son Liam, who plays violin, and her daughter, Kira, who is a cellist.
