The Oregon Suzuki Talent Education Center (OSTEC) was founded by Portland, Oregon Suzuki violin teacher Tamara Theodosis to provide violin lessons to students ages 3 and older.

The OSTEC education principles are based on the Japanese violin teacher Shinichi Suzuki's beliefs that every child has talent, talent is developed rather than inborn, and with a supportive parent and a good, nurturing teacher every child can learn to play an instrument well.
